Tourists will have no problem finding Glasgow’s key landmarks and attractions from spring 2009 as the City’s new pedestrian tourism sign system is unveiled. The project aims to make way-finding as simple as possible for visitors to the city ensuring their experience is as enjoyable as possible.
MM was tasked with ensuring that the City’s visitor attractions receive the maximum possible benefit from the new sign system and that visitors can easily find their way around Glasgow’s rich array of world-class attractions. Phase 1 of the project has delivered new signage for the City Centre and West End areas of Glasgow.
Working with Clear Channel and AIG [Applied Information Group], MM has helped to deliver nine key orientation signs; 60 area maps and 80 finger posts to help visitors explore the city. As part of this project all Charles Rennie Mackintosh attractions within the city have been signposted and branded for the first time.
From concept to completion, MM worked in partnership with Glasgow City Council, Clear Channe, AIG and, in the early stages, Scottish Enterprise Glasgow.
